Arrest spree, curbs on hurriyet leaders in IoK denounced

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT/APP): The All Parties Hurriyet Conference leader,
Nayeem Ahmad Khan, has strongly condemned the arrest spree unleashed by the puppet authorities ahead of so-called Indian Parliamentary by-elections in the territory.
According to KMS , Ahmad Khan in a statement in Srinagar also
denounced the caging of resistance leaders and imposing of restrictions on their political, social and religious activities by the occupation authorities.
He said that occupied Kashmir had been turned into a police state
where people were being denied all civil, political and democratic rights. He said that the pro-freedom leadership which represented the aspirations and sentiments of the people had either been locked in their houses or lodged in police stations and jails ahead of the sham elections. He pointed out that the polls conducted under the shadow of gun had no relevance.
Nayeem Khan deplored that India was using brutal tactics to crush the
voice of dissent in occupied Kashmir.
“Curbing common voices by using men in uniform unfolds the intentions
of the ruling class which after consultation with New Delhi is busy implementing the Doval doctrine in letter and spirit in Kashmir. The doctrine recommends crushing pro-freedom struggle with brute force without any space for dialogue and political engagement,” he added.
