Prices of fruits, vegetables remains stable in posh areas markets

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT/APP): Prices of fruits and vegetables
overall remained stable with minor fluctuation in some items here
at Kohsar Market, Super Market and Jinnah Super Market.
According to the Islamabad Market Committee’s price list
issued here on Wednesday, the prices of various fruits and
vegetables showed no major difference from the price list of the
previous week.
According to price list, potato was sold at Rs 23 per
kilogram, Onion Rs 42, Tomato Rs 140/110, Ginger Rs 100, Garlic (China)
Rs 300, Garlic Local Rs 230, Lemon Rs 175, Lady Finger Rs 105,
Pumpkin Rs 50, Brinjal Rs 65, Peas Rs 50, Fresh-Bean Rs 70, Tinda
Walaiti (Imported gourd small) Rs 40, Cucumber Rs 30, Capsicum Rs
76/55, Green Chilli Rs 130, Cauliflower Rs 48/35, Cabbage Rs 30,
Bitter Gourd Rs 175, Green Zucchini Rs 92, Spinach Rs 22/15,
Raddish Rs 20, Turnip Rs 28, Yam Rs 82, Maroo Rs 34, Carrot Rs 28,
Chicken Rs 172 and Egg per dozen Rs 97.
Likewise, the rates of fruits per kilogram of high
and medium quality in Islamabad are as follows: Apple (kala kalo)
Rs 150/118, Apple Golden Rs 115/75, Apple White Rs 105/70, Apple
China Rs 205/155, Banana Pak Rs 122/75, Guava 122/75, Pomegranate
Rs 240/188, Kino Rs 90/60, Pear China Rs 165/132, Melon Rs 70/52
and Strawberry Rs 230/175.
