MULTAN, (MILLAT/APP): The police arrested 62 alleged
criminals and recovered drugs and illegal weapons from their
possession, here on Saturday.
According to sources, police arrested 15 drug-peddlers
and four illegal weapon-holders, unearthed a distillery
and seized 71-litre liquor, 35-litre locally made wine,
2,155-gram hashish, 121-gram heroin, two pistols, two
revolvers and bullets, respectively from their possession.
One beggar was arrested by the police from Muzaffarabad police
station and two drivers were arrested for violating traffic
rules.
The police teams also apprehended 27 proclaimed offenders
wanted in different cases of dacoity, robbery, theft etc.
Meanwhile, two persons were held for violating tenant act, two
for selling substandard food items, one for violating amplifier
act, two for selling fireworks and six gamblers were held with
stake money of Rs 4,690 and gambling material.
Separate cases have been registered against the accused.
