Shutdown in Shopian, Pulwama against killings

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT/APP): Complete shutdown, in occupied
Kashmir, was observed in Shopian and Pulwama districts in south
Kashmir, today, to mourn the killings of two youth by Indian
troops in Padampora area of Pulwama, yesterday.
According to Kashmir Media Service, two youth identified as
Rayees Ahmad and Farooq Ahmed Hurrah were killed by Indian forces
while they were travelling in a vehicle near Padgampora,
Awantipora.
All shops, business establishments, other offices and petrol
pumps were closed in all the major and small townships of Pulwama
including, Pulwama, Tral, Kakpora, Awantipora, Padgampora, Newa
and Ratnipora. A complete shutdown was also observed in Shopian
and its adjoining areas.
Meanwhile, thousands of people gathered in the native
villages of two martyred youth to attend their funeral prayers.
On the other hand, many people were injured in clashes
between protesters and Indian forces in the two districts. The
people came out of their houses and raised anti-India slogans.
They were protesting against the killing of two youth.
