ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT/APP): As many as 11 brands of bottled water
found to be unsafe due to chemical and microboliological
contaminations and registered 17 cases and submitted challans
in relevant courts.
Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR) under
the Administrative control of Ministry of Science and Technology has
conducted sampling of Mineral/Bottled water.
Comparison of analytical finding has revealed that eleven
brands bottled water are found to be unsafe, official sources told
APP.
Brands included Well Care, Lite Aqua, New Premier, Royal Blue,
Aqua Safe, Aqua Drink Water, Rahat, Oslo, NG Fresh Water, Nurturmil
Water, Aab-e-Khoob.
Special teams have been constituted comprising of District
Health Officer (DHO) ICT, being Food Inspector, Sanitary Inspectors
and Food Inspector of Food Department for taking legal action
against those involved in this heinous crime and playing with the
health of general public.
