ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT ONLINE/APP): Punjab police Inspector General
(IG) Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera has said on Tuesday that the government
is equipping police department with modern equipment and training
facilities.
In an interview with private news channel, he said the
police system in the province has been computerised in line with
the modern trends in order to change the police culture.
Now the information about a criminal is available at one
click only, IG said.
Sukhera said that the packages for martyrs and retired
officers have been improved.
He said that brave officials of Punjab Police were thankful
to Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for taking important measures to
strengthen the department to meet the challenges of the modern era
and to take initiatives for welfare of the force.
