JUI congregation to further cause of peaceful resolution of Ummah challenges: Fazl

PESHAWAR, (MILLAT ONLINE/APP): Central Ameer of Jamiat Ulema Islam
(F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Friday declared in unequivocal terms
that there was no room for armed struggle to resolve challenges
being faced by Muslim Ummah.
He said this while addressing an inaugural ceremony mammoth
3-day JUI Centennial congregation at Azakhel in Nowshera, attended
by Imam-e-Ka’aba Sheikh Seleh Muhammad bin Ibrahim, Saudi Minister
for Religious Affairs, Saleh bin Abdul Aziz Al-Sheikh, Federal
Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, Federal
Minister for Housing Akram Khan Durani and delegates from JUI
Hind Maulana Asad Madani.
With his inaugural speech, the JUI Centenary Celebrations
formally commenced at Azakhel area of Nowshera that will
continue till Sunday.
Maulana Fazl ur Rehman said JUI leadership under founder
Mufti Mehmoodul Hassan and Mufti Mehmood had played key role
in protecting Islamic identity, promoting lslamic values,
training of party workers on political-religious and
ideological fronts.
Muslims of Sub-continent during Independence War in 1857
besides Sirajdullah and martyrs of Balakot had also paid
heavy price for protecting their identity and ideology.
“This great congregation believes in peaceful struggle
for accomplishment of goals and did not consider raising
arms for it as right,” he said while people raising hands
in affirmation.
Maulana Fazal said Islam gives solutions to all the
problems and challenges of the Muslims Ummah.
He said elimination of poverty, hunger, corruption
and terrorism was necessary for sustainable peace and
economic prosperity in the world.
He said solution of core issues of Kashmir and
Palestine needed to be addressed for the regional
peace and stability in South Asia and Middle East.
He said terrorism can’t be eliminated unless the
world had addressed the key issues of poverty,
illiteracy, unequal distribution of wealth, economic
imbalances and equal justice besides giving rights of
self-determination in the Indian Occupied Kashmir
as promised to them by UN.
The JUI believed in cordial relations with all
neigbours, improvement in current economic system,
supremacy of law and unity among Muslim Ummah.
Fazl said China was time-tested friend and
stressed the need to get further closer to Chinese
for more expertise.
The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would
give enormous boost to the economy of Pakistan and
bring massive economic development in the country,
he added.
