Hong Kong stocks open lower

HONG KONG, May 18, (APP/AFP) – Hong Kong shares sank at the open
on Thursday following hefty losses on Wall Street as the crisis surrounding Donald Trump threatens to throw off rail his agenda to boost the US economy.
The Hang Seng shed 0.71 percent, or 178.71 points, to 25,114.92.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 0.71 percent, or 22.11
points, to 3,082.33 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on
China’s second exchange, dropped 0.75 percent, or 14.09 points, to 1,853.59.
