Iran condoles deaths in Portugal wildfire

TEHRAN, June 20 (APP/MNA): Iran has forwarded a message of condolences
to government and nation of Portugal over the country’s deadliest forest fires claiming the lives of at least 62 people on Sunday.
Head of Iran-Portugal Parliamentary Friendship Group, Mostafa
Kavakebian,has forwarded a message to his Portuguese counterpart Adao Silva, extending his condolences and sympathy to the families of victims of Portugal’s deadliest forest fires.
He further wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the wildfire
tragedy which spread on Saturday.
Forest fires have so far claimed lives of 62 people caused by what
Prime Minister Antonio Costa said to be a lightning strike. The death toll is feared to rise as a number of people are still missing across the country.
Over 50 people have sustained injuries, many of whom in critical
condition. The Portuguese government has declared three days of mourning for the 62 victims.
