Ministry of P&D approves Rs 1 bln for AUST

ABBOTTABAD, June 21(APP): Ministry of Planning and Development
Wednesday approved Rs 1 billion for various developmental projects of Abbottabad University of Science and Technology (AUST).
According to an official letter, the ministry notified grant of one
billion rupees for academic block, boundary wall, administration block, girls hostel, networking, students transport service and staff wagon service.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed said that approval of the fund was a
milestone and would also play vital role for the development of the university.
He further said that Rs 1 billion rupees fund would also improve the
infrastructure of the varsity.
He thanked Minister for Planning and development Ahsan Iqbal, Chairman
Higher Education Commission (HEC) Dr. Mukhtiar Ahmed, DG Planning and Development Dr. Mazhar Saeed.
