ISLAMABAD, July 19 (APP): Parliamentarians belonging to different
political parties on Wednesday wellcomed the approval of Election Bill-
2017 in consultation with all parliamentary parties.
Talking to media outside the Parliament House here, Jamiat
Ulema-e Islam (JUI-F) Senator Naeema Kishwar Khan appreciated the
approval of Election Bill-2017 and congratulated the Minister for Law
and Justice Zahid Hamid.
She said with the passage of time other issue will be also
resolved with the consultation of political parties.
Awami National Party Senator Sitara Ayaz said Election Bill-
2017 is great achievement and credit goes to all parties and nine
laws have been integrated in the new bill.
Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Saud Majeed said
that 34 members electoral reforms committee finalized the Bill-2017.
Replying to a question, he said some political parties had
written dissent note which was quite common practice.
Chief of Qaumi Watan Party Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao said that
the bill would ensure free, fair and transparent elections.
