LAHORE, (APP): The Election Commission of Pakistan
(ECP) has requested Ministry of Defence for deployment of Pak Army
in Bye-Election of constituency NA 101 Gujranwala to be held on
March 22.
According to the spokesperson of Election Commission of
Pakistan Punjab Office here Friday, the request has been sent
to the ministry on demand of the contesting candidates as well as
Provincial Election Commissioner Punjab and District Returning
Officer, Gujranwala.
In a letter written to ministry, it has been requested to
make necessary arrangements for providing adequate security
inside and outside of all the polling stations of the
constituency.
