More than 40% area of Afghanistan not in control of Afghan government: Zahid

ISLAMABAD, Sep 6 (APP): Pakistan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan Zahid
Nasrullah Khan on Wednesday said more than 40 per cent area of Afghanistan was not in control of the Afghan government.
Talking to PTV, he said Taliban hold those areas and terrorist
organizations were attacking and hitting from there.
He said Afghanistan was the major source of destability and a regional
consensus was essential which should be discussed in the meeting of Quadrilateral Coordination Group (QCG) for establishing a durable strategy in this regard.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Ambassador in China Masood Khalid said China
Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) had started giving fruitful results.
He said American President Donald Trump had announced his policy for
the South Asian region, adding China was well aware about Pakistan’s concerns and reservations about Trump’s new policy.
