ISLAMABAD, (APP): Board of Investment (BOI) Chairman Dr
Miftah Ismail has said the restoration of peace in Karachi would
boost business activities in the country and strengthen the national economy.
Talking to Pakistan Television (PTV), he said that law and order
situation in Karachi was much better as compared to past due to the
operation.
Miftah Ismail said street crimes, target killings, extortionists,
and terrorism activities had decreased in the metropolitan city.
Commenting on former Karachi Mayor Mustafa Kamal’s allegations
against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), he said Federal Investigation
Agency (FIA) was investigating the matter.
He said the formation of new political parties will create competition
environment among the political parties to play more effective role for the
development of the city as MQM has kicked off a cleanliness campaign in
Karachi
