European stock markets slip at open

  • LONDON, (APP/AFP) – European stock markets weakened at the start of trading Thursday, with London’s benchmark FTSE 100 index losing 0.5 percent at 6,172.81 points. Frankfurt’s DAX 30 index also fell about 0.5 percent to 9,997.94 and the Paris CAC 40 shed 0.6 percent to 4,416.84 points compared with Wednesday’s close.
